I’ve rarely had a chance to really sit down and collect my thoughts for a major blog post on my favorite topics. So, I thought I’d sit down and just write about what’s new with me in my everyday adventures. So far I’ve been playing roller hockey and most recently more ice hockey which led me to purchase some ice skates. Easton SE2. They are pretty nice skates for the price and served me well in St. Louis where I played drop-in and public skate (for practice). I really enjoy them and am looking forward to getting them totally broken in (my feet hurt). On another note, I did clean my hockey gear for the first time in a year. Believe me, it needed cleaned. The smell was getting pretty bad, so I just tossed everything but my helmet and skates into the washer and put it on “hand wash” setting. Now, my equipment smells a lot better. Maybe I can score another goal before the playoffs.
Work has been great. There’s plenty to do and a lot of challenges. Interesting times we live in. Some people within an organization will do anything to keep their jobs, while others don’t care and eventually move on. Maybe the deep labor pool in this economy will help with the motivation of current employees. Being part of the team at work is more important than ever now. Creating opportunities and thriving on a team are a big part of any job. Recognize and understand your potential to do great things.
I’m still reading Duma Key by Stephen King. I should be finishing it up here pretty soon though. Great book, I think it may have dragged on for too long near the end that’s my problem.
Eva is great!!! Always wants to play fetch and be by her master. Long live Eva!
