Ok. Microsoft only honors the original warranty so my second xbox is out of warranty. They want me to pay for the repair. No way am I doing that and getting only a year out of it again. I'm switching everything to PS3. Never buy an xbox.

Thanks for posting Chad.

I really like using Parallels and you're correct about running Vista Ultimate in a business. It probably wouldn't be virtualized. I mention this in the last paragraph. For me its just a toy until I decide to put up the cash for another workstation. Parallels Desktop has allowed me to install the OS in an environment where I can familiarize myself with it and do some basic analysis of its capabilities. It looks like down the road I'm going to be moving it to a workstation in order to really open it up and get down to serious analytics.

Hi there, I work for Parallels and saw your blog post. Vista Ultimate is not supported as a guest operating system, which I think is why you are having trouble. As far as I know it's a Microsoft licensing thing, but Media Center is difficult for a VM to handle, at least for now.
If you want to reach out to us, we have a support team that can troubleshoot some of these bugs with you.
Finally, keep in mind that if a business was looking to run Vista in a VM, it would likely *not* be Ultimate.
Thanks for using Parallels!

Wow, I had no idea he had a book out! That rocks! Dr. Osborne is impressive. I agree, there were many other great professors, but Dr. Osborne easily tops the cake. I'm glad to hear he's publishing!

Not really. I do think there should be some regulation, but mostly it should be left up to the markets. We (USA) have an ok system, but I think some of it should be looked into and changed.

Thanks for the comment. I hope that answers your question.

"In the USA there are people who believe that the markets don’t solve it all." Do you believe that markets DO solve it all?

I enjoyed your post! Good stuff. Someday I'm going to get back to blogging. I'd be interested to hear your response to my question above. Are you going to post about the upcoming election? I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on that. :-)

Hey, your blog remembered which side panels I had minimized. Very cool. I'm sure you wanted to know that...

Anyway, congrats! Someday, when I have a cool job, I too will brag about it on my blog. :-)
